Welcome to the Acton High School Careers Events Diary. Compiled by our Careers Team, these listings of (mostly) externally-provided courses, shows and conferences provide ideas for students wishing to explore career and education opportunities.

Acton High Careers Week

The week commencing Monday 9 July 2018 will see many Year 10 students undertaking week-long placements to experience the world of work. However, with placements being increasingly difficult to secure, a week of activities at school has been planned for those who are unable to get one. Monday and Tuesday will see students attending lessons as per their normal timetables, but with lessons focusing on the career opportunities each subject can lead to. On Wednesday, students will be experiencing taster sessions at the University of West London, on Thursday there will be a range of employer workshops, and on Friday Acton High will host a Careers Carousel featuring 40 different employers.
